Oklahoma is apparently a big state that has a ton of things to see on Route 66.

My first major stop was in Elk City at the National Route 66 Museum. They have 16 different things to see there: Transportation Museum and Gift Shop, Route 66 Museum, Doctor's Office, Red Rock School, Musgrove House, Chapel, Old Town Museum, Caboose, Railroad Depot, Livery Stable, Opera House, Mercantile, Bruening House, Drug Store, Farm & Ranch Museum, and Windmill Collection. Some of the buildings you can go into and some you can only look into the window. It's a pretty cool stop and only $5 to see all the buildings.

The museum I stopped at was in Clinton is a great museum for Route 66 stuff. All of the other museums I stopped at had other things to see that had to do with either the state or the city, so it was really nice to stop at a museum that was strictly dedicated to Route 66 and only $5, but they do ask for donations. This museum had pictures, histroy, cars, gas pumps, hitchhiker information, hotels, yearbooks (pictures of the decade, famous stars, popular movies and music, food prices, gas prices, car prices, and house prices) and my favorite part was you could press a button and listen to a different song that represented the decade.
