Sioux City, Iowa

August 9th I drove to Sioux Falls and saw Trinity Heights.  Trinity Heights isn't a church, but they have stuff along that lines.  If that makes sense.

I originally went there to see Lourdes Grotto and Shrine, but then I found massive Jesus and Mary, and I mean massive!

Grotto

Both statues are 30 feet tall.  I'm not religious but these things were pretty interesting to see, the land is also really pretty to walk around.

What up, Mary?

Not Much Jesus.

They also had a wood sculpture of The Last Supper which was pretty cool.  It took the Jerry Traufler seven years to finish carving it.  And the woman working the desk said there are only four other such carvings in the world.
Last Supper

I also tried to go see the last Sioux Indian monument, but the park was one dirt road with no where to stop and no monument.  As I was exiting the circle some guy mean mugging me and I'm guessing his girlfriend drove into the park, pretty sure meth was going to be involved because there was NOTHING in that park.
