I made it to Ohio August 6th and went to Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it was awesome. There is so much to see there and so much information. I ended up staying about six and half hours. There are six floors of galleries to see and I saw all of them. There are eight videos to watch and yep you guessed it, I watched all of them: Mystery Train, A New Side of Elvis, Rappers Delight, American Bandstand, Video Killed the Radio Star, Alan Free, Induction Ceremony Highlights Inductees film, and The Music Festival Experience.

The video Video Killed the Radio Star was about 11 minutes and it was super trippy. They have I'm guessing 15 televisions playing different videos, facts about MTV, popular artists, and popular videos during MTV's hey day. I learned that Peter Gabriel made some crazy, trippy, freaky videos back in the day. I could not take my eyes off the different videos playing, I highly recommend it. |

The inductee video is more like a movie, I spent about two hours in the room watching all the Inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from 1987-2013. "A multimedia presentation that combines film footage, music, interviews, animation and still photography to tell the stories of the inductees. I also really enjoyed this video, most of the people I had heard of but there were about ten artists that I hadn't. So not only was it interesting but also informative. They separated the videos by the years the artists were inducted.

The below picture shows the four categories someone can be inducted to. Performers, The Ahmet Ertegun Award, Early Influences, and The Award for Recording Excellence.

After you leave the video the hallway right outside shows you all the signatures of the artist inducted. So I of course was super pumped when I saw The Eagles signatures. I also took pictures of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Diamond, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Etta James, Van Morrison, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, Simon and Garfunkel, and Neil Young.

The gift shop had a ton of records to buy (a little pricey) including this little gem by Clint Eastwood. I had no idea he had made an album. But it seems that it suits him.

Also, lucky for me they were having and Elvis Exhibit. "Graceland created this film exclusively for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Elvis Presley exhibit. The film is a fast-moving and fun look at Elvis’ entire career – from his earliest days to some of his final performances. Besides footage of Elvis, the film features interviews with Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Miranda Lambert, Lisa Marie Presley and many others." There were a bunch of his jewelry, a guitar, clothes, letters, pictures, there was also a video about him, and a custom motorcycle of his.

One of the exhibits they had was about the Cold Crush Brothers and photographer Joe Conzo. Conzo grew up in Brooklyn and would take pictures of what he saw around the city, later he became the official photographer for the Cold Crush Brothers (they grew up together). Now he is a paramedic, but still takes pictures of shows and around the city.

Let me tell you how excited I got when I saw this ish...I basically pushed the old guy in front of me out of the way. Lyrics of "The Best of My Love: by Glenn Fry, Done Henley, and J.D. Souther. He got the drift and moved out of my way.
